January 2026 Beauty Player of the Month : Michal Postava

The Graced By Rain Beauty Player of the Month for January 2026 is Grand Rapids Griffins goaltender Michal Postava.

After missing nearly two months of the season due to an injury, Postava returned to play on January 23, 2026, securing a 4 - 1 lead over the Chicago Wolves. A week and a half later, Postava earned back-to-back shutouts against the Milwaukee Admirals, 2-0 and 3-0. This was the first time since 2018 that a Griffins goaltender recorded a shutout in consecutive games. This was also the team's seventh shutout of the 2025-26 season.

In January, Postava had a 4-2 record, a 1.29 GAA, and a .943 save %.

In addition to being a capable starting netminder, Postava is also able to step in and save a game when things get wildly out of hand. When the Chicago Wolves scored five goals on Grand Rapids in the span of two periods, Postava came in to relieve Sebastian Cossa of his duties. Almost immediately,  Postava made a huge save on Viktor Neucher that breathed new life into the Griffins. The game dramatically turned around, and Grand Rapids was able to prevent any more goals from being scored against them and was able to find the back of the net twice.

​Postava continues to be a great addition to the Griffins' goalie tandem.
