The Graced By Rain “Beauty Play of the Week” for October 28 - November 3, 2026 is Carter Bear threading the needle against the Chicago Wolves on November 1.
With under three minutes to play in the second period, defender William Lagesson scooped a rolling puck off the boards before sending it over to Shai Buium located at the opposite faceoff dot. Buium noticed Ondrej Becher moving through the neutral zone undetected by Chicago and launched a pass his way. Upon receipt of the puck, cleanly entered the offensive zone along the boards before dropping the puck backwards to Bear. From there, Bear sniped a shot from the bottom of the faceoff circle that somehow flew through a small opening that Wolves goaltender Zach Sawchenko was trying to close up.
From start to finish, this play was full of beautiful hockey moves.
Bear finished the night with three points, one goal and two assists.
