Beauty Player of the Series - Central Division Finals : Michal Brandsegg-Nygard

The Graced By Rain “Beauty Player of the Series” for the Central Division Finals between the Grand Rapids Griffins and Chicago Wolves has been awarded to forward Michael Brandsegg-Nygard.

Over the course of four games, Brandsegg-Nygard scored five points — two of which came on the power play — and procured a +1 rating. During five-on-five play, he worked hard to score goals and set up plays. On top of that, Brandsegg-Nygard’s regular season wizardry extended to the post season. When others were turning over the puck and overcomplicating plays, Brandsegg-Nygard kept it simple and barreled down the Wolves to get into the zone and close to the net.

The AHL doesn’t publicly keep stats on hitting, but I would guess that he led the Griffins in hits during the Central Division Finals.
